Free at last...

It is Friday morning. They let us go last evening. Last night, Logan had a rough time due to narcotic induced constipation. But, by 11:30pm, he was fast asleep. He slept with me in the big bed. This morning I woke up to Logan talking and staring at me. He at a good breakfast and went to play with his toys.

We still haven't received the final verdict on the biopsy results but the doctor did say that the tumor looks low grade (not fast growing/aggressive). So, for now, we wait for the final results. The tumor doctors say that if it is the type of tumor that it seems, chemotherapy/radiation won't help and surgical removal isn't possible due to the tumor being intertwined with the brain stem. If that is the case, we begin the waiting game. That will involve getting brain scans semi-frequently and watching to see if it grows or changes. And, it may not grow or change.

As for the tumor's effect on Logan's balance and eye control, that can't be recovered so he will have to learn to cope.

We should hear the final results soon and will post the update as soon as we do. Thank you all again for your support, prayers, and love. God continues to bring us supernatural peace and comfort. And, praise the Lord that Logan is alive and still with us.

God is good! Don't forget it.

Ahhhh, the sun is shining and Logan and I are going to go mow the lawn. Have a nice day everybody.

I was called to start an Internet Prayer Warrior Group over 1.5 yrs ago. Lisa Lunde (lunde posts April 6th)is a member and forwarded Logan's information to me. In 2006 I posted 21 pages of answered prayers. I equate recording answered prayers to the altars the prohphets of the old testament used to build when God intervened on their behalf. There are over 130 participants now and Lisa's request for Logan will placed in a petition before our Mighty Lord by them all. We will continue to check "Logan's Blog" for updates.

What better time to go before Christ than the very weekend we celebrate His victory over death and promise of life beyond the grave. As we celebrate a Risen Savior we shall send prayers heavenward on Logan's behalf. Thank you for the privilege of praying for him with you.

Ben and Meaghan:

I was amazed by the story as to how similer it is to what I went through with my daughter when she was 7 years old. The doctors found a tumor next to her brain stem and it was the size of a double large egg. They did surgery on it and removed 50% and then we had to go through 29 treatments of radiation to try to kill the rest of it. We were free of the tumor for 1 1/2 years and then it came back. We dealt with her tumor until she was 15 1/2 years old until her passing. That was a long 8 years but at least I was blessed to have her that long. When I read the store of Logan in the Stayton Mail paper things flashed back to the years that I was taking care of my daughter and thought that I sure wished that I had more of a network of people that understood what I was going through and someone that could relate to my daughters problems. I do know that going through something like this has made me a very strong person and I'm thankful for that but anytime it is a child it is very hard to except but some how some way we all do.
No matter what don't ever give up and seek out the best possible medical help for you very beautiful child that you havebeen blessed with.

I do wish you the best. Keep your heads held high and know you are not the only ones in this world that is going through something like this or has gone through something like this.

If you would like to email me my email is Valdjames@comcast.net i would love to hear from you or I would be more than willing to have coffee with you and share my story with you.

Take care of that special little boy.

My Logie Bear....

I came home from Chicago on Tues and went straight up to the hospital. When you saw me you raised your arms and gave me a BIG smile, even though you were having pain. My heart melted. You are so brave!! I held you all evening and through the night on Tues, so mom and dad could have a little rest. You and I are best buds...God is great and has kept His arms around you! I praise him daily for His goodness!!! By Friday, you were able (with my help) to drive a little train around the nurses station. You are my dolly and I'm praying for miracles to keep on happening, even that you'll walk in the future!! I love you more than words can say!!!

ummm, Logan is such a precious little child and oh so blessed to have the parents he has. My heart breaks for you- but rejoices in seeing your faith, courage, love, and trust shine through in the midst of the storm. I've no doubt that Logan's life will be/has been a testimony to many and I am eager to see how God will use this to His glory. Our God is BIG and more times than I can count the doctors have been proven wrong by His greatness. Continue to hold fast to Him and know that you have the prayers of many who love you holding you up as well. I love and miss you guys. ~Roni

Meaghan and Family
I heard about this on the radio today. My heart goes out to you. I want you to know that I am praying my head off. And I won't stop until Logan is healed. It is so amazing to see your faith shining thru this difficult time. If there is anything I can do PLEASE let me know. I would love to bring you a meal if that would help. I got your number from Hilaire so if you don't mind I will call you in the next week. I will also put you guys on our church prayer list so that is 100 more people praying for Logan.
All the best

Your son's condition was submitted to an Internet Prayer Warrior group by Lisa Lunde. Our 135+ participants have been praying for Logan weekly. The last update is dated April 24th. Numerous inquiries have been received from around the world about Logan by these Warriors. Are there any new developments since this April 24th posting I could forward on? It is a privilege to pray for Logan and he was prayed for today.
